Apollo Surgical is a medical device company that was formed
in 1997 by Dr. George Christoudias, a renowned laparoscopic
general surgeon and oncologist who has been practicing
for over 35 years and has performed over 15,000
operations in his career. In 1990, he became one of the first
surgeons to embrace and practice the new minimally invasive
surgery technique on a regular basis, giving him an early and
insightful perspective on its equally new surgical technology.
After repeated disappointment in low-quality-high-cost instruments
that smothered the efficiency of his operations, Dr. Christoudias
founded Apollo Surgical to prove that better
instruments make better surgeons and safer operating rooms.
Apollo has since grown into a company that designs, develops,
and distributes a proprietary line of cutting-edge surgical
products loyal to its mission to reduce frustration, cost, and
waste in every OR, and to simultaneously increase efficiency,
value, and safety in the healthcare industry.
